This is the "Keeper" ready to punt

We just call her Keeper...as in goal keeper. She was one of the original girls from the very first team. That was before we had goal keepers so she played out in the field. Most kids don't like playing keeper because it is challenging physically, but it is even more so mentally.

She has been punting to the center circle simce U-8, back when the other keepers could only throw the ball out of the box. Her strong punts have assisted in a number of goals.

Every week the keeper has a new battle injury to show off. Even last week she was kicked on the ground and earned a nice bruise. That called taking it fo the team!
